Recreations - Magazine Double Page Spread

I chose to recreate this double page spread to help me with my final product. The top image is the original double page spread, and the second image is my recreation. I chose this double page as I liked how modern it looked, and I liked the layout and colour scheme. I recreated the original using Microsoft Word. This recreation was difficult as the positioning and layout on these pages was very complicated, even though it appears simple. The font was also very hard to recreate as it is quite and unique font. The colour scheme was easy to recreate as the colours very very basic and simple. The smaller details for this recreation were very hard to recreate as again these were very unique, for example, the coffee stains were hard to recreate due to their shape. Some fonts from the original I managed to match well, but this was very difficult to do. From doing this recreation I have learnt that that this layout is hard to recreate, and that the simple layouts are not always the easiest to create. This tells me that I need to make sure that I spend a lot of time in the beginning of the editing process to make sure the layout is done well.
