Competition - Bake From Scratch

There is little competition with regional baking magazines within the UK. This is good for my magazine, as there are fewer magazines to try and beat in the magazine industry. This however could be an issue, as there is nothing to base my magazine off of, or to see what aspects I do and do not like on a regional baking magazine.

There are magazines that are not regional, but are baking magazines, which can cause strong competition between my magazine and other baking magazines. One magazine in particular, which is competition, is the magazine Bake From Scratch.

This magazine is similar to how I would like my magazine to be. I aim to use a similar style of dominant image from the cover, and a similar theme of colours. I also had the idea to use similar fonts. The genre is the same as my magazine, and the content is again very similar. My magazine is however a regional magazine, so this will be the difference between the magazine.

I aim to improve my magazine based on the aspects of the ‘Bake From Scratch’ magazine cover that I don’t like. For example, I would change the colour scheme, and some of the fonts. I would also make my dominant image lighter in colour.
