Chosen Genres

For my magazine I have chosen the genre Baking, mixed with the wider genre of food. My magazine will include an article on a food trend at that time which will fit with the food genre. If the food trend at that time was a food that you bake it would then fit into the Baking genre. The contents page will show articles that include recipes, which will mainly fit into the baking genre. I will advertise both genres on my front cover, but my main genre is Baking. I have chosen to pick this genre as it allows me to include lots of images which is what my target audience has said they are interested in. I also chose this genre because again my questionnaire results showed that my target audience are into the baking and food genre. My questionnaire results also showed that my target audience are interested in home and lifestyle, so I will include this genre on my Billboard. I will do this by including images on my Billboard that link to home and lifestyle. My Billboard will be advertising the name of my magazine as well as the actual issue of my magazine so I have chosen to include images of different genres to show the audience that the genre of magazine changes with each issue.
