Interview – Confirming my product ideas

Q – Have you ever read a regional magazine?

Response 1 - “I have only ever read one regional magazine which was a magazine on the local area in Devon.”

Response 2 – “No.”

Response 3 – “Once I think.”

Q – Do you enjoy reading regional magazines?

Response 1 - “I found the regional magazine I read interesting, but I don’t think I would read them regularly.”

Response 2 –

Response 3 – “I don’t think I liked it, but it was about cars so it didn’t really fit my interests.”

Q – Would you be interested in reading about the genres: Baking, Food and Drink, and Home and Lifestyle?

Response 1 - “I would be interested in reading about food and drink more than the other genres, but I would probably read about them all.”

Response 2 – “I would be interested in reading about the food and drink genre, as well as baking, but not really home and lifestyle.” 

Response 3 – “Absolutely, yeah I love baking!”

Q – This is my Billboard flat plan and this is the colour scheme. Would this design interest you, and would you be persuaded to read the magazine if you saw this billboard? Why?

Response 1 - “The design would definitely interest me. Its completely different to any Billboard I have ever seen before and looks really modern. I like the colour scheme as well because its really bright but also includes darker colours so its not too bold. I think the colour scheme would go really well with the shapes and patterned design used.”

Response 2 – “That looks really cool. I really like the shapes and the geometric layout. The colour scheme is cool as well and the way the colours will be put into the shapes.” 

Response 3 – “Oh wow. That looks so interesting, that’s definitely up my street. I would read the magazine based on that yeah. And the colour scheme is so eye catching with this design.”

Q – Do you think this colour scheme fits with the genre of my magazine?

Response 1 - “The colour scheme fits with a lot of genres but it definitely suits the genres of your magazine.”

Response 2 – “Yes, I would definitely look into the magazine based on the Billboard because it looks like a really unique magazine that’s really interesting rather than other magazines that are similar and just look boring.”

Response 3 – “The pinks, greys, and blues definitely fit with the theme 100 percentage, and the other colours do as well but they are uncommon in this genre, which is cool because they are different but still work well.”

Q – Here is my full magazine in flat plans including the front cover, contents page, and double page spread. Would you read this magazine? Why?

Response 1 - “The magazine looks really good. It looks like it would be really easy to read and I like that it matches your other products. With the colour scheme I think it will look really cool. I would definitely read it.”

Response 2 – “The geometric layout for this is really good, like the Billboard. This is really different and unique compared to other magazines, so I would definitely read it. This actually looks interesting.”

Response 3 – “I would read this magazine, the genre is perfect for my interests and hobbies, and the design stands out and looks really fun and modern.”

Q – Here are the flat plans for my website. The content is the same as my magazine but the design is different. Do you find this design easy to read?

Response 1 - “The design is really easy to read and fits with the theme your creating. It looks really modern and looks unique compared to other websites I have seen with the same intentions.”

Response 2 – “The layout makes it easy to read yeah. I like the design. It looks really modern and again really different to other websites. I like the geometric design on this as well, and I think it fits well with the rest of the design.”

Response 3 – “Really easy to read. The layout is understandable and modern again like the magazine.”

Q – Would you be interested in any of my products? If so, which ones would you be most interested in? Why?

Response 1 - “I would be interested in the magazine and the website the most.

Response 2 – “I like all of them and would be interested in them all but my favourite design is the website.”

Response 3 – “I’m most interested in the website, but the other products interest me to.”

Q – Why are you most interested in these products?

Response 1 – “[Magazine and Website] Because of there content, but the billboard would definitely grab my attention and persuade me to look at the other products.”

Response 2 – “[Website] It looks like it would be really easy to find what you want and really nice to look at. The design has a lot of really cool aspects to it. It looks really professional and gives the idea that the content would be really interesting.”

Response 3 – “The website seems really modern and it looks really professional and it just suits my interests really well. The other products give the same vibe.”
